History of injury: No history of sports injury, but has intermittent hamstring and calf tightness

Level: Complete novice
Current season: No specific season, but it is one year prior to the marathon

Poor technique on squat (heels raise)
Performed poorly on basic strength tests
Poor core stability on all relevant drills
Performed poorly on running mechanics drills, with forefoot contact even at low speeds


Background
Has no experience using free-weights or resistance machines.
Struggles with running as she runs on her toes and therefore fatigues rapidly.
She has bilateral gluteus medius weakness.
